A big thank you goes out to all the ALA Independence Chapter members and business partners that donated school supplies in support of the Crime Victims’ Center of Chester County (CVC) Back to School Drive.  This was the 20th year that our Chapter has participated in this event.  Through your generosity, the CVC was able to help almost 60 of its school aged clients get ready for the new school year.

I was fortunate to be able to attend the shopping event, which was held on Saturday, August 10th.  It really made my day to see the excitement as the children chose their backpacks and filled them with school supplies, leaving prepared to start a new school year.
